Sardinia in 3 Days: La Pelosa, Su Nuraxi and Cala Goloritzé

3 DAYS 3 places by WaTrips

La Pelosa Beach, the Bronze Age village of Su Nuraxi and Cala Goloritzé.

Sardinia has some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean. Start at La Pelosa, a white-sand beach with a Spanish tower in a shallow turquoise sea (book ahead in summer). See Su Nuraxi, a UNESCO-listed Bronze Age village of stone towers called nuraghi, unique to the island. End by hiking down, or taking a boat, to Cala Goloritzé, a cove of pale pebbles beneath a limestone spire. May, June and September are best.

La Pelosa Beach

La Pelosa is a beach near Stintino on the northwest tip of Sardinia. Its fine white sand and shallow, clear turquoise water are among the most famous in the Mediterranean. An old Aragonese watchtower stands on a small island offshore. Access is limited in summer to protect the beach, and visitors must use mats under their towels.
