What is WaTrips?

WaTrips is a travel and road-trip app. Check in wherever you go, collect a passport stamp for every country, discover places and food nearby, plan trips and ride together with other travelers.
Is WaTrips free?

Yes. WaTrips is free to download on iPhone and Android.
How does check-in work?

Tap Check in when you arrive somewhere. WaTrips reads your location once, logs the place and adds it to your map and stats.
How do passport stamps work?

You get one stamp per country, per visit. If you leave a country and come back later, that counts as a new visit and earns another stamp. Cities you visit are listed inside each stamp.
Who can see my check-ins?

You choose: Public, Friends or Private. You can change it anytime in settings, or for a single check-in.
Does WaTrips track my location in the background?

No. Your location is only read when you tap Check in or open nearby features. WaTrips asks for “While Using the App” permission, never “Always”.
What is a Wave?

A Wave is a quick hello to a rider near you — no message needed. If they Wave back, you can connect.
How long do community posts stay up?

Community posts expire automatically after 30 days.
Can I plan trips with friends?

Yes. Create a group, plan a trip with stops, invite members and go live while you ride together.
