4 DAYS 9 places by WaTrips

Enchey, Rumtek and Ranka, Phodong, Ralang, the Buddha Park and Samdruptse, then Pemayangtse and Tashiding.

Sikkim's Buddhist monasteries are its soul. Day one visits Enchey, Rumtek, seat of the Karmapa lineage, and the newer Ranka Monastery around Gangtok. Day two goes north to Phodong. Day three is Ralang Monastery, the Buddha Park at Ravangla and the hilltop statue at Samdruptse. Day four ends at Pemayangtse and Tashiding, two of the oldest and most sacred monasteries in Sikkim. Many monasteries hold masked cham dances during Losar and other festivals; March to May and October to December are best for travel.
