Khiching Temple

Khiching was the ancient capital of the Bhanja rulers of Mayurbhanj. Its main temple, to the goddess Kichakeswari, was rebuilt in the early 20th century from the fallen stones of a 10th-century temple and is built entirely of dark chlorite. The carving is among the finest in Odisha. A small museum beside it displays sculptures found at the site.
