5 DAYS 8 places by WaTrips

Cardiff Castle, Snowdon, Caernarfon and Conwy castles, Portmeirion, Titanic Belfast, the Dark Hedges and the Giant's Causeway.

Wales and Northern Ireland are full of castles and coastlines. Start at Cardiff Castle, then climb Snowdon or ride its mountain railway. See the great castles of Caernarfon and Conwy, built by Edward I, and the Italian-style village of Portmeirion. Take the ferry to Belfast for Titanic Belfast, then drive the Causeway Coast to the Dark Hedges and the Giant's Causeway's 40,000 basalt columns. May to September is best.
