California's National Parks in 8 Days: Tahoe, Mono Lake, Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley and Joshua Tree

8 DAYS 8 places by WaTrips

Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake, Yosemite Valley and Half Dome, Kings Canyon, the giant sequoias, Death Valley and Joshua Tree.

California's parks range from alpine lakes to the hottest place on Earth. Start at Lake Tahoe and Mono Lake's tufa towers, then cross Tioga Pass into Yosemite for two days among its granite cliffs and waterfalls (Half Dome needs a permit). See the deep canyon of Kings Canyon and the world's largest trees in Sequoia, then drop into Death Valley and end among the strange trees of Joshua Tree. Tioga Pass is open about June to October; avoid Death Valley in summer.
