Pebbles crunch under your feet, the water is clear and blue, and across the bay the Bey Mountains rise steeply from the sea, often still white with snow in spring.

The beach

Konyaaltı Beach stretches west of Antalya's centre along the Mediterranean, with the Beydağları, the Bey Mountains, behind it. It is a pebble beach. Its Blue Flag section alone is 4,500 m long and 70 m wide, with a bathing season from 15 May to 30 September. A long seafront park and promenade run behind the beach, and the Aqualand water park is nearby.

Tünektepe cable car

Nearby, in Sarısu about 15 km from the centre, the Tünektepe cable car climbs 1,706 metres of line to the top of a 618-metre hill, with an observation terrace over the Gulf of Antalya. It is closed on Mondays.

  • Aqualand Water park nearby.
💡 TipBring water shoes; the pebbles get hot in summer.
