8 DAYS 8 places by WaTrips

The Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda, the Daintree, Whitehaven Beach, Fraser Island (K'gari), Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.

Queensland is reef, rainforest and endless beaches. From Cairns, spend a day snorkelling or diving the Great Barrier Reef, ride the scenic railway to Kuranda and explore the Daintree, the world's oldest tropical rainforest. Sail the Whitsundays to the white silica sand of Whitehaven Beach, drive the sand tracks of K'gari (Fraser Island), and finish in Brisbane, on the Gold Coast and in laid-back Byron Bay. June to October is best in the tropics; stinger suits are needed in summer.
