The Canadian Rockies in 7 Days: Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Yoho and Jasper

7 DAYS 8 places by WaTrips

Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake in Yoho, Peyto Lake and the Icefields Parkway, the Athabasca Glacier and Maligne Lake.

The Canadian Rockies have some of the most beautiful lakes on Earth. From Calgary, drive to Banff and spend days at the turquoise Lake Louise and Moraine Lake (shuttle only in summer), and Emerald Lake in Yoho. Drive the Icefields Parkway past Peyto Lake to the Athabasca Glacier, where you can walk on the ice, and end at Maligne Lake in Jasper, watching for elk and bears along the way. June to September is best; a Parks Canada pass is needed.

Seasons from 20 years of NASA POWER climate data.
